ABOUT ADAM KIANI

Adam Kiani is the founder of PT Academy. Specialising in fitness and personal training courses, PT Academy is one of the fastest growing fitness education companies in the UK. Having partnered with Pure Gym – UKs largest gym chain with over 180 clubs, PT Academy has the largest coverage in the UK with the highest number of assessment centres and mentors. PT Academy was the first company in the UK to use active and successful personal trainers to mentor and assess its learners. Adam’s vision was it was best suited for the Academy’s learners to be taught by successful trainers that knew how to build and sustain a client base.

All of the courses offered by PT Academy are recognised internationally and regulated by Ofqual. The courses are recognised by the Chartered Institute of Sports and Physical Activity, the Register of Fitness Professionals and the European Register of Exercise Professionals. PT Academy currently operates in over 180 health clubs in the UK and provides qualified graduates to most of the major health club and gym chains. PT Academy was the first fitness education company to use active personal trainers as its tutors and assessors. He is also the chairman of UK Fitness Awards a non profit organization.

UK Fitness Awards is an independant and non-profit organisation set up to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of those within the leisure and fitness industry in the UK. Each of the categories of UK Fitness Awards is designed to celebrate best practice in the industry, from quality of work to inspiring experiences. The awards are open to any one affiliated with the leisure and fitness industry in the UK. The board meet twice a year to discuss nominations and those best suited to win the awards.

Adam has a passion for sports and training. He represented his school’s rugby, cricket and chess teams and took up amateur boxing whilst still at school. Whilst at university he boxed at and represented Kingston Amateur Boxing club. Adam began Muay Thai in 2002 which eventually led him to start kickboxing in 2006, a sport which due to its high intensity nature he found a passion for. A short but very successful career winning the prestigious Ringmasters title in September 2012 following 4 fights almost back to back. He represented England in the ICO world championships in Paris in November 2012 winning a Gold medal in the 67kg category.

Adam has presented at numerous fitness exhibitions and conventions both in the UK and internationally. He has appeared on the front cover and written articles for several well known health and fitness magazines.
